The two photographs show the scar (two months after surgery) of a reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament using the hamstring tendons. Although this technique is frequently recommended for girls (because the "aesthetic damage" is small) or for older subjects (because rehabilitation is easier), the reliability of this graft remains disputed by some surgeons.
