The two X-rays show a surgical failure: the artificial ligament - easily visible  thanks to an opaque radio operator wire in the centre - has broken 6 years after the surgical procedure. The arrows show the rupture: in the X-ray on the left you can see the ligamentous "stub" slackened on the femur.
