ANTERIOR CRUCIATE LIGAMENT

Radiological lachman

This is a simple radiological examination which is very useful to objectify and measure laxity in chronic lesions of the anterior cruciate ligament.

This radiological examination makes it possible to measure the anterior tibial translation and it’s active subluxation relative to the femoral condyles (active subluxation: small black arrow in bottom on the left): if differential translation (the difference between a healthy knee and a wounded knee) ranks above 10 mm., complementary surgical procedure may be necessary.
