Knee rehabilitation
After anterior cruciate
ligament graft using the central third of the patellar tendon
secured with two interference screws (in absence of a meniscal
repair).
(On the website you can find indications of a general nature: it is
in any case necessary to follow " to the letter" the indications of
your orthopaedic surgeon.)

Month after surgery you can practise:

Exercise bike (without
resistance)

Stepper (staircase
simulator) without resistance

Swimming if wound healing
allows it (breaststroke is
not advised)

Months after surgery

Begin running (in the form of gentle jogging) without sudden
stops, pivots, changes of direction and avoiding irregular
ground...

Months after surgery

Same activities
as the second month are gradually intensified.

Isokinetic exercises are discouraged during this time.. The
patient must be aware of tiredness or small tendon pains and
accordingly keep to lower workloads .
5-6
Months after surgery

Return to sport
activities.
