Anatomy of the anterior cruciate ligament.

The femoral insertion of the anterior cruciate ligament is very posterior.*

The anterior cruciate ligament is inserted into the center of the tibia (outwards and in front of the anterior spine tibial) and on the axial face of the external condyle in its posterior part. The arrow shows the femoral insertion of the ACL. During surgical reconstruction, the femoral insertion must be well positioned in order to restore perfect anatomy
