Figure 1 (*) : Anatomy of the elbow. The arrow points to the radial nerve in it’s passage at the elbow. At it’s termination  the posterior interosseous nerve enters the supinator muscle (cut in the drawing) in the  Frohse tunnel. In this tunnel the posterior interosseous nerve can sometimes be compressed producing typical symptoms of peripheral nerve pathology.
