Athletes who practice bodybuilding (photo # 1) may sometimes damage the elbow cartilage:  arthroscopy can be proposed.

These cartilaginous lesions are related to the excessive loads applied daily to the elbow to strengthen the biceps. Sometimes a load of 200-300 kg. is the cause of elbow osteoarthritis, with pain and blockages of the joint.

Image No. 2: advanced osteoarthritis in the sequelae of a dislocated radial head  fracture, untreated. Mobility in these cases may be acceptable but pain is very sever in extension and flexion peaks.

Image No. 3: osteoarthritis of the elbow in a bricklayer. Repeated heavy exercises can lead to elbow arthritis.
